Open-source and copy-left projects for knowledge sharing and product development
This English section of contesti.eu magazine - aka "international" - is dedicated to the technological area. As you can see taking a look at the other side of this magazine portal, you won't simply find the English translation of the Italian articles published in the Italian magazine:
Here you will find projects, patents awaiting for investors, documentation and knowledge-base in electronics and software-hardware applications.
In this tech section of contesti.eu you will also find links and descriptions of our developed web projects: portals primarily based on Plone such as this site.
We would also like to point out in this short editorial opening the new section of the magazine, that all the published materials are free, released under an open-source CC/GPL license in case of software or under a CC/Copyleft license ifn case of documentation and knowledge-base.
Besides, users can buy online directly from these pages the ready-to-use hardware components described in the projects; you can also find such components in many other specialized sites on the net.
All of our works are open and we invite the developers community and enthusiasts to participate in order to share this knowledge and support us. Users interested in downloading and project participation are invited to register to the site. It's free. For more informations read the benefits to be a registered user

Projects
What does Open hardware means? Our answer is:
Developing prototypes for complex applications we are used to work in a modular way. Thus while the full project will progress through its path to became, hopefully, an industrial product, in the meantime the most interesting modules become open hardware independent projects.
The released projects are documented and created in order to be Arduino compatible and distributed along with software examples.
See the projects section to know more about...
Open source
We are basing the software development on several platforms: maemo for nokia, Wiring and Arduino IDE, Processing, and others for graphic interfaces. Here the user find a reasonable selection of useful projects and the related documentation and the link also to an open devolpment area distributed in various community platforms i.e. Maemo Garage, Bluetooth SIG, Google code etc.
See the open source section to know more and participate. Instructions for members subcription here.
Knowledge base
All the documents and data sheets we have collected during the development workflow and relevant links to technical sites can be found in this section, divided into projects.
Software sources are all documented using doxygen, ad the html and pdf output for libraries and software components can be accessed directly in the knowledge base of the site.See the Kb section to read more.
